The Full Story

About

Hello, and welcome to Doodle & Poo! We're Elaine and Simon, proud parents of two very unique and loveable dogs, Paddy the 4-year-old Labradoodle, and Rylee, our spirited Cockerpoo. We’re here to share our journey as doodle parents and offer a mix of stories, tips and a good dose of humor to help fellow dog lovers along the way.

Paddy, our seasoned doodle, is full of personality. He’s a fan of sniffing (well, everything), scratching the ground with his back legs like an overzealous kangaroo, and barking at other male dogs—unless they’re big dogs, in which case, he’s suddenly an expert at pretending he hasn’t noticed them at all. Paddy has a nemesis, Nelson, a handsome Labrador who was once a playmate, but adulthood has brought on a bit of tension. To be fair to Paddy, he’s perfectly content just staring at Nelson while Nelson does his best to pull his owner across the road to get at him.

Then there’s Rylee, who’s still figuring out her place in the world. She’s turning our home into what we politely call an “eternal pit of ammonia”—a.k.a., she’s still working on her potty training, and not all of her efforts make it onto the pads (though we’re proud of the progress!). Despite her occasional “mishaps,” she’s a sweet and curious soul, always ready to find trouble in the most adorable ways.

Through Doodle & Poo, we want to create a space for fellow dog owners—whether you're in the puppy trenches or navigating the antics of an adult doodle. You’ll find valuable training tips, practical advice, and plenty of stories about life with our lovable fluffballs. From Paddy’s quirky behavior to Rylee’s potty training adventures, we’re here to offer both entertainment and useful insights for raising your very own teddy bear dog.

So, join us in building a community of doodle lovers who can laugh together, share experiences, and learn how to manage the delightful chaos that comes with these adorable, fluffy companions.
